Decisions of funding will made on a case by case basis taking into consideration urgency of need, dog’s medical condition, and availability of funds. Operation D.O.G. will provide a flat donation to qualified applicants, upon approval. Additional funds will be donated through fundraising, grant awards, and availability of additional funds.

Tier 1 (request for routine care):

  1. Income within 3x poverty level or demonstrated recipient of public assistance
  2. Animal must be in need of vaccinations or urgent medication
  3. Must be a resident of Polk or Marion Counties
  4. Dog must be spayed or neutered, or owner will be willing to spay or neuter the animal (financial assistance will be provided)

Tier 2:

  1. Income within 3x poverty level or demonstrated recipient of public assistance
  2. Dog must have a treatable medical condition or be in need of diagnosis/treatment
  3. Must be a resident of Polk or Marion counties
  4. Dog must be spayed or neutered, or owner will be willing to spay or neuter the animal (financial assistance will be provided)

Tier 3:

  1. Must demonstrate financial need, or provide narrative of inability to pay for medical treatment outside of income constraints listed in Tier 1
  2. Dog must have a treatable medical condition or be in need of diagnosis/treatment
  3. Must be a resident of Polk or Marion counties
  4. Dog must be spayed or neutered, or owner will be willing to spay or neuter the animal (financial assistance will be provided)

Tier 4 (Rescue Organization/Animal Shelter):

  1. Must demonstrate ownership of dog
  2. Provide documentation of non-profit status in the State of Oregon
  3. Operate within Polk or Marion Counties
  4. Dog must have a treatable medical condition or be in need of diagnosis/treatment
  5. Dog must be spayed or neutered prior to adoption

Operation D.O.G. is a small non-profit organization operating in Marion and Polk Counties. At this time, we are unable to assist with medical cases and rescues residing outside of these areas. As we continue to grow, we intend to expand our reach to other areas in the Willamette Valley.
